Why Glaize exists

Glaize was born from first-hand frustration with the nail industry.

Gina grew up in Lebanon, inspired by her glamorous mum, who always had perfectly painted nails. She taught her that something as simple as nice nails can change how you feel: polished, put-together, confident.

Years later, working long hours in finance, salon appointments weren't realistic. Even DIY nails felt like a compromise. And when she did make it to the salon, it often came with trade-offs she wasn't comfortable with: UV exposure, harsh ingredients and removal that left nails thinner than before.

So she asked the obvious question: Why isn't there a better way?

That question became Glaize.

Elevating nail care

The nail category hasn't changed much in decades. We built Glaize to push it forward.

Our stick-on gels are made from real gel, designed to look and wear like a salon manicure - without needing curing once on the nail.

We develop and manufacture our gels in-house in the UK, which means we continuously improve the product based on real feedback, not just trends.

And because fit matters as much as finish, we also developed patented sizing technology to make a salon-level fit possible at home.

No UV lamp. No compromise.

There's ongoing conversation around UV lamps and nail health. While more research is still emerging, we wanted to create a product that removes the need for UV curing completely.

Glaize gels arrive fully cured and ready to wear - so there's no lamp needed at home.

And it's not just UV.

Nail care can also come with ingredients many people are starting to question - from HEMA and TPO, to wider concerns around "forever chemicals" in beauty. We believe you deserve better clarity and fewer trade-offs.

We hear it all the time: people come to Glaize after salon gels stop working for them - including customers who've experienced allergic reactions in the past. While everyone's skin is different, many find Glaize to be a gentler alternative that still delivers a salon finish.

What happened after the Den?

We filmed Dragons' Den in May 2023 - and a lot has changed since then.

We've grown the business and our community, launched new shades and collaborations, expanded our sizing offering, and continued to develop new formats to keep making nail care easier and better.
